Given its proximity to the equator, Bali has a tropical climate.

During the year the weather in Bali can vary from 24 – 30°C, or 75 – 85°F along the coast. Inland temperatures in the highlands of Bali are cooler. The average temperature in Bali is 31°C or 88°F.

There are two seasons in Bali, the dry season and the wet season. The dry season in Bali lasts from May to September, when rains are less frequent and humidity is lower than in the wet season.

The wet season in Bali lasts from October to April. During the wet season there are frequent rains, often in the afternoons and evenings, and humidity is high. December through February are the wettest weather months in Bali.

The best time of year to visit Bali is from late spring to late summer. May through August is a good time to visit, as the temperatures are not too hot and the rains are fewer than at other times of year.

With a tropical climate, Bali’s weather is influenced by seasonal monsoons. This means that Bali experiences a dry season from May to September and a wet season from October to April.

While it can rain any time of year in Bali, the best time of year to visit Bali is outside of the wet monsoon season. During the dry season the light coastal winds moderate the heat, making for a warm but pleasant climate.
